RV.Papers #9: 8.00AM / 15.00PM by Luis Urculo

MAY 16 2015 | 7PM-10PM | OBJECT_IFY 139 | 139 ESSEX STREET, NYC

Spain Fresh and Object_ify139 are pleased to host the launch party for the latest issue of the curated Spanish artzine,

RV.PAPERS: 8.00 AM / 15.00 PM by Luis Urculo

8.00 AM / 15.00 PM explores the physical structure of printed matter. The title represents the time difference between Mexico City and Madrid, the two places where Urculo lives. Urculo uses the publication’s construction as a physical manifestation of the temporal divide between the two cities. Objects are bent, mirrored, broken, or otherwise altered by passing through the center of each spread—breaking the illusion of synchronous existence.

Published by RV.PAPERS in Madrid, 8.00 AM / 15.00 PM is a black-and-white 28-page publication with a poster. It is produced in a numbered edition of 100, and will be available at the launch for $15. The artist will be on hand to sign copies. Previous issues of RV.PAPERS will also be on display and available for purchase.
